Evaluating the results achieved, Aksa Natural Gas Chairman of the Board Yasar Arslan said, "In 2023, conscious of our responsibility toward Turkey's economy and our stakeholders, we strengthened our financial results in line with our sustainable growth strategy: We made TL 5.7 billion in investments across all our regions. Growing by 15.5 percent to 44 thousand 690 km, our natural gas network reached a length that would go all the way around the world. We brought natural gas to 38 more new districts and towns, and our total subscriber base reached 5 million. Our annual revenue was TL 49.8 billion. Our equity increased by 17.2 percent to TL 11 billion."

Drawing attention to the fact that they progress by drawing strength from Kazanci Holding's experience and know-how spanning more than half a century, Arslan said, "Our story advances steadily toward becoming a global brand in line with our Holding's 2030 Global AKSA Strategy. We prepared our strategy plan within the framework of high customer satisfaction and creating added value for the national economy. By 2030, we aim to invest a total of USD 1.5 billion domestically and abroad. With this investment, by 2030 we aim to increase our network size by 57 percent with 25 thousand km of network construction, from 44 thousand 690 km to 70 thousand km; our subscriber base by 66 percent, from 4.9 million to 8.2 million; and our natural gas distribution volume by 78 percent, from 9.7 billion cubic meters to 17.2 billion cubic meters. We also aim to bring our EBITDA value, which was USD 158 million as of year-end 2023, to USD 382 million with average annual growth of 14 percent, and to raise our revenue from USD 1.7 billion to USD 3.1 billion."

Stating that they act with high customer satisfaction while delivering nature-friendly and economical energy, natural gas, to their subscribers, Arslan said, "The greatest reflection of this view was undoubtedly our being deemed worthy of the Firm That Takes Consumer Satisfaction as a Principle Award at the 26th Consumer Awards organized by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Trade. At the ceremony held, our award was presented by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. In addition, we are determined to keep the customer experience at the maximum level using advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and data analytics, and to continuously improve it in light of the data we obtain. Because we act with a vision that shapes not only today but also the future."

Emphasizing that they attach great importance to environmental impact steps, Arslan said, "In 2023, we implemented our Carbon Emission Calculation and Reduction project in order to identify our greenhouse gas sources and to bring our carbon emissions under control and reduce them. Having successfully completed the project, we moved to roll it out across all of our regions. On the other hand, last year, with the use of natural gas in the regions where we operate, 10.3 million tons less carbon emissions occurred in just 1 year. This rate excites us as it is equivalent to the amount of carbon that a forest of approximately 434 million trees could clean. With our activities aimed at reducing our carbon footprint, in 2023 we were deemed worthy of the Low Carbon Hero Award by the Sustainable Production and Consumption Association (SUT-D) with our "Natural Gas Is Greening" project, and we took pride in receiving this award for four consecutive years."

Stating that Aksa Natural Gas also stands out with its forward-looking strategic collaborations, Arslan continued: "The February 6 earthquakes that deeply shook all of Turkey once again showed us that we live in an earthquake country and that we must be prepared for earthquakes in every respect. Aksa Natural Gas's infrastructure has been protected, monitored, and subject to preventive measures with the latest technology since the first day it was established; we also carry out periodic leak survey work in all our regions. In addition, I want to note that we attach importance to concluding the necessary collaborations and exchanging ideas through strong partnerships. For this reason, we came together with US-based Pacific Gas and Electric Company to carry out joint work for disaster management, earthquake risk assessment, and continuously ensuring natural gas supply security. As a result of our ongoing discussions with Japanese gas company Osaka Gas, we signed our collaboration protocol in the subsequent process. Our company will continue to set principles in our sector and to be an international reference point in the field of natural gas distribution."
