As the use of eco-friendly, safe and clean natural gas increases in Türkiye and across the world against air pollution as an economical alternative, we started our activities in 2002 as an umbrella company to have a strong presence and provide service in natural gas distribution sector. We make quick investments in almost all of our areas of activity, and stand for the principle of providing customers with the comfort of natural gas with outstanding quality.
We continue natural gas distribution and retail sales activities in 29 city centres, 339 provinces and municipalities within the borders of 32 cities in 23 regions in total, where we obtained license from Energy Market Regulatory Board. With the investments made in 2024, we increased our total network size to 62 thousand kilometers, the number of our subscribers to 7,3 million and achieved 13,9 billions cubic meter of natural gas distribution.
As Aksa Doğalgaz, we own 28.3 percent of total length of natural gas network length achieved in Türkiye. We are acting with the awareness of having an active role and responsibility in the market, knowing that we are serving to a population of 21.6 million people and about 9 million potential customers in the regions where we distribute natural gas.
Since our establishment, we take pride in having generated savings of TRY 1.338 billion for the national economy together with our subscribers, to whom we have provided services by prioritizing high quality. In addition to the employment we have created, we offer better job opportunities to more than 45 thousand citizens both directly and indirectly. In regions where natural gas is accessible, the acceleration of industrial investments and the resulting increase in employment supported by the advantages we provide in energy diversification are among the key contributions we make. In every field and region where we operate, we consider it our inevitable duty to grow in line with our vision and to increase our contribution to the national economy with the experience we have gained.
