Bringing more than 5 million subscribers in 27 provincial centers and 306 districts and towns together with natural gas through its 45-thousand-kilometer natural gas distribution network that goes all the way around the world, Aksa Natural Gas continued its strong growth in the first half of 2024. Ranking 44th on the Fortune 500 Turkey list of Turkey's largest 500 companies, Aksa Natural Gas was for the third consecutive time assigned Long-Term National Rating "A+ (tr)/ (Stable Outlook)" and Short-Term National Rating "J1 (tr)/(Stable Outlook)" at the investment-grade level, the highest notation, within the credit rating process conducted by JCR Eurasia Rating. Increasing the amount of investment it makes nationwide every year to expand its service network, Aksa Natural Gas has continued its steady and planned growth since the first day it was established in 2002 as a subsidiary of Kazanci Holding.

More than 5 million happy subscribers

In the first half of 2024, Aksa Natural Gas increased its investment amount by 30.7 percent year on year to TL 1 billion 698 million. Growing its natural gas distribution network by 13.1 percent to 45 thousand 477 kilometers and its subscriber base by 11 percent to 5 million 43 thousand people, Aksa Natural Gas announced that it achieved this growth by keeping customer satisfaction at the forefront. In addition, Aksa Natural Gas's natural gas distribution value, which was 5.4 billion standard cubic meters in the same period last year, rose by 4.8 percent to 5.7 billion standard cubic meters in the first half of this year.

Highest consumption on a per-dwelling basis was in Van

Announcing consumption data for the 21 regions where it operates, Aksa Natural Gas's region with the highest consumption on a dwelling basis in the first half of 2024 compared with the same period of the previous year stood out as Van. Van, where household consumption was 993 cubic meters, was followed by Agri with 957 cubic meters and Gumushane and Bayburt regions with 861 cubic meters, while the Cukurova region consisting of Adana, Mersin, Hatay, and Osmaniye provinces was the region with the lowest consumption per household at 477 cubic meters. In the first half of 2024, the region that increased its value the most in dwelling-based consumption stood out as Sanliurfa with an increase of 25.6 percent. According to reports published by the Republic of Turkey Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), average natural gas consumption per household in Turkey in the first six months was 626 cubic meters.
