Having completed his master's degree in Chemical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, Şinasi Gölbaşı began his professional career in 2004 as a Measurement Engineer at Aksa Doğalgaz, subsequently taking on the roles of Gas Control Supervisor and Operations Manager. Managing the Natural Gas Wholesale business line from 2007—when wholesale sales were liberalized in Türkiye—until 2020, Gölbaşı was appointed Gas Dispatch and Trade Director in 2016. Responsible for supply and retail sales, customer processes, measurement, automation, and dispatch control operations, Gölbaşı was appointed Aksa Doğalgaz Executive Board Member in 2023 and Aksa Doğalgaz Vice President of Retail Trade and Customer Operations in 2024. As of 2026, in addition to his current duties, Gölbaşı continues his career as Vice President and Board Member responsible for managing Aksa Bursa Doğalgaz.
